Discussions of each book lead to creative writing responses. Books for the autumn term include Mark Haddon’s The Pier Falls, Jane Austen’s Love and Friendship, International Booker short-listed My Brilliant Friend, by Elena Ferrante and Booker Short Listed The Year of the Runaways by Sunjeev Sahota.
